There is a written application process, a small placement fee that will go to offset the cost of retraining and all candidates must be vetted before acceptance. Once the program reaches capacity, applicants will go on a waiting list and be accepted in the order they applied.

New York-bred horses will receive preference in the application process.

After your application to donate a horse is accepted you will need to do the following

Surrender paperwork and requirements 

  1. Filled out application
  2. Registration transfer from the owner.
  3. Letter from a Veterinarian stating horse is riding sound.
  4. Current coggins and shot records
  5. Back shoes must be removed
  6. Check for $500.00
  7. Delivered to farm (call first) 

PLEASE:  If you arrive at the farm from the west and must turn left into the drive please go past the farm (about 100 feet ) and there is a dead end road to turn around.

Turning right into the drive is not a problem.
